My best concert ever

My best concert ever was the first concert of Louis Tomlinson as an soloist. It was May 16th (2022) in the Movistar Arena, a concert with three sold out dates. Previously, Louis Tomlinson belonged to the British band One Direction, which came to Chile in 2014 to the National Stadium with its tour called "Where we are tour", which unfortunately I couldn't go, since I was only 10 years old, so my mother didn't let me attend, I cried for like a month straight after that tragic situation, since in 2015 one of my favorite members of the band, Zayn Malik , decided to leave the band, and later the band dissolved, despite that tragic moment in my teenage life, my mother after that owes me a debt, which is to let me go to any concert I want (especially if it is a member of One Direction as a soloist) so, my mom had no problem letting me go see Louis this time.

Louis Tomlinson is a British singer and songwriter who became famous after auditioning for the program The X Factor, where with four other boys they created the band "One Direction", winning third place on the program. After the program came his world fame within the band, which won more than 50 awards throughout its career (2010-2015), after that, in 2017, Louis began to release music as a soloist and managed to release his first album in 2020, and who so far has won six awards such as the iHeartRadio, Teen Choise or MTV music award.

This, for me, has been one of my best concerts not only because of LOuis is one of my favorite artist, but because of the good atmosphere that was had with the fans. I have never liked going to concerts alone, so a few months before I created a WhatsApp group of around 10 people who had the "Platea Alta" sector at the Movistar Arena, which was not numbered, so that we could all sit together, from there I made very good friends with whom to this day I still talk or meet at other concerts, I call them my "concert friends", we all arrived around 8 in the morning and we were almost at the beginning from the line, I make friends with the girls who were in front of us, we ordered pizza so we could have lunch since the doors opened at 7 in the afternoon, in general the waiting atmosphere was very calm, there were people selling things, we treated ourselves merch, we put on makeup together, we shared food, it was a very pleasant atmosphere and not at all threatening or competitive.

Louis concert was a good musical experience since he had 2 opening acts before him, the first band was "Marineros", a Chilean duet of two girls whose music I fell in love with from the first moment, and then a band called "Sun room" which came on tour as official opening act for Louis, was of an indie rock genre similar to Louis' music so I also enjoyed it with my friends, especially because they played a Ramones cover called "Blitzkrieg Bop". When Louis came out it was like paying for my inner child, just seeing him there live was as if the 10 year old Belen had finally been able to see One Direction, especially because Louis sang like 3 One Direction songs haha. Honestly, was one of the best feelings in life, singing my favorite songs with friends who have been fans all their lives just like me, it was incredible. Also, his presentation and interaction with the fans was incredibly kind, he was really happy so I enjoyed the concert even more.

Finally, it was a very special concert for me, I made very good friends and I had a great time singing my favorite songs live, it is a concert that I will never forget and I know that Louis won't either, since, funny fact, the official fan club made a project with the flashlights of our cell phones, in which in a song by Louis called "Kill my mind" where in the word "kill" we had to raise our flashlight and in the word "my" lower it, it was a very nice project that Louis liked it a lot and he even put it in his documentary called "All Of Those Voices" which is about his entire tour and career as a singer, which he also released about a year later the concert (2023), where our project and the 3 concerts in our country appear, saying that it's his favorite fan project and that it felt amazing. I feel good knowing that at least I could be one of those thousand lights that shined for him haha.
